Jalen Brunson x Kobe 5 Protro ‘NY vs. NY’ 2026

The Jalen Brunson x Kobe 5 Protro ‘NY vs. NY’ celebrates New York City’s legendary summer streetball culture through a vibrant tribute to the annual N1ke-sponsored NY vs. NY basketball tournament. Inspired by the Statue of Liberty and the energy of the city’s outdoor courts, the sneaker features a striking turquoise color palette that captures the spirit of New York.

The seamless synthetic upper is dressed in a vivid turquoise shade, representing the iconic green tones of the Statue of Liberty. Bold paint-splatter graphics appear across the forefoot overlay, eyestay, and heel counter, combining the signature New York Knicks blue and orange colors to create a dynamic, graffiti-inspired look that reflects the city’s basketball heritage.

The Protro edition updates Kobe Bryant’s classic performance model with modern technology, featuring a lightweight Cushlon foam midsole paired with responsive Zoom Air cushioning in the forefoot. A translucent rubber outsole provides dependable multi-directional traction, making the shoe suitable for explosive movements on the court.

Blending Kobe’s performance legacy, Jalen Brunson’s New York identity, and the unmistakable style of NYC streetball, the Kobe 5 Protro ‘NY vs. NY’ delivers a bold collector-worthy design with serious basketball DNA.
