The Maison Margiela Four-Stitch Collarless Wool-Blend Blazer takes a stripped-back approach to traditional tailoring, using a clean black finish and collarless neckline to create a minimal, understated silhouette. The front is free from visible buttons, lapels and exterior branding, while the back is distinguished by the signature four white stitches positioned below the neckline.

The main fabric is a wool-blend TR stretch twill, combining the structured appearance of suiting with a subtly flexible construction. Inside the shoulders, padding strips are added to support the shape of the upper body. The neckline uses a wool-blend interlining and is constructed with a triangular-stitch machine process, helping maintain the clean geometry of the collarless opening.

Additional structure comes from a 100% polyester fusible lining/interlining through the interior, designed to help the blazer retain its form rather than collapse through the body. The sleeve interiors are finished with smooth lining fabric, while poplin binding is used around the interior and neckline edges. Two internal slip pockets are also incorporated, secured with four bartack-reinforced openings.

The back four-stitch detail is hand sewn, providing the only immediately recognizable exterior signature against the otherwise plain black body. The hem is finished with mercerized thread, reinforcing the deliberately clean appearance of the jacket from front to back.
